The Takeoff LA was started by Morgan Hughes (@whereismorgann) because she felt there wasn’t a space catered towards the Black women transplant content creators in LA. Instead of complaining, she took it into her own hands to create the outlet she was looking for. With a couple successful events under her belt, I think she’s here to stay and make her mark.
What The Takeoff Means
Community is super important, especially when moving to a new place. The Takeoff LA is here to build that community through content creation created by Black women. Put on your Sunday’s Best and come hang with the girls.
